About Us

Waken Ministries was founded in October of 2010 by Ryan & Laura Hairston.

"After spending almost 10 years in student ministry, God widened the scope of people to which He was calling me. He broke my heart for the people that we walk around with every single day that do not know the love of God and who will never walk through the doors of a church building.

God gave me a deep desire to help these people, who are far from God, connect with Him through the visible love of Christ followers.

My hope is that through this ministry, we would be able to help foster a culture of Christ followers who not only go to church, but also take it with them into every avenue of their life.  As a result, life, wholeness, blessing, and hope will be brought to all people and to the cities and communities that we live."  ~ Ryan Hairston

Ryan & Laura Hairston live in Frisco, TX. They have two beautiful children, Hadley & Hensley.
